 Dear Guests,
My husband Willie and I like to do our utmost to make you feel welcome at our holiday chalet ‘The Claddagh’ overlooking Inver Bay on Donegal’s S. W. Coast. Our chalet gets its name from a local fishing spot on the opposite side of the bay and translates as ‘The rocky shore’.The whole Inver area was once synonymous with inshore fishing and still retains its former, laid-back, friendly charm in both people and places. Guests have been coming to ‘The Claddagh’ since 2001 and we found that many of them use our location as a stepping stone to areas which they wish to visit like the renown Slieve League – the highest cliff in Europe or the port of Killybegs – Ireland’s premier fishing port or Donegal Town with its 15th Century Castle and historic sights or perhaps a spot of fishing off the rocks at nearby St. John’s Pt. There is so much to see and do and we have put several links of interest on our site so that you can choose for yourself.
If however, you just want to ‘get away from it all’ then ‘The Claddagh’ is the place for you where you can spend your days taking walks on the local beaches (at Inver Village nearby) or (The Warren a Kilometer away) or fishing on the nearby Eany River or off the pier at ‘The Port’. Perhaps you just want to laze around and enjoy the magnificent views from the Claddagh’s sun room or pop out for a drink at our local ‘The Rising Tide’ in nearby Inver village and have a ‘chin-wag’ with the locals. Either way we welcome you to our ‘home away from home’ by the silvery sea at Fanaghan, Inver in S. W. Donegal.
